Ballarat - Swanhill - Mildura

Our monthly trips include Naomi Maynard doing Equine Body Therapy, Dr Natalie Maynard doing human Osteopathic treatments for the horse riders, and we have Julie Scougall on board as the Riding Coach.

Currently, monthly trips include Swanhill, Mildura and Ballarat. Being able to achieve the best possible result with your horse will not solely rely on the horse. If your riding position isn't straight, or you are restricted by acute or chronic injuries/conditions, this may impact on the horse's performance. Very few riders sit straight, have even amount of strength in both legs and have soft steady even hands, all of these issues can be addressed by a human Osteopath. Not only will this improve your posture in the saddle, but will be of benefit in every day life, as there may be many daily habits that are contributing to these problems, in which Natalie can educate you and provide the correct rehabilitation exercises and management.

Now you have the knowledge and are aware of yours and your horse's weak areas, you need a great coach to help you strengthen and adapt to this.

A coach is there to ensure you have an understanding of the relationship between horse and rider, and to support and help improve your riding ability and performance. You need a coach who has a great understanding of the biomechanics in both horse and rider as every combination will be different and have different challenges. There is no such thing as only one way to achieve something.

These are just a few examples as to why a great coach, Equine Body Therapist and Human Osteopath is the key to a successful combination.

The change in my Galloway’s shape after colic surgery was horrendous, But with the help of Naomi her body is almost back to normal. I can notice the difference each treatment and my horse looks forward to it. Couldn’t recommend anyone higher!
